Who is behind ZIENER?
ZIENER is a family business from Oberammergau in the Bavarian Alps that develops sports gloves and functional clothing for skiing and cycling. Master glove maker Franz Ziener Senior founded his glove workshop here in 1946. Today the company is run by Daniel Ziener, the fourth generation of the family, together with managing director Frank Burig. You can find out more on the pages About us and History.
Where are ZIENER products developed?
All ZIENER products are developed and designed at the company headquarters in Oberammergau, in the heart of the Bavarian Alps. The people who work here are passionate about the sports themselves. To this day, the development, design and pattern cutting of the collection come from Oberammergau.
What does #MADEBYPROS mean?
#MADEBYPROS is the standard we set ourselves: products created where sport is lived. Development draws on a constant exchange with national and international top athletes and sports associations. ZIENER is the official outfitter of the German Ski Association (DSV), the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV), the Liechtenstein Ski Association (LSV) and the German Ski Instructors Association (DSLV). How does ZIENER take responsibility for people and the environment?
The DWR finish on our products is made without intentionally added PFAS. We work with bluesign to make our collections more environmentally compatible. Our climate targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative: by 2030 we aim to cut our greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 42 percent compared with 2020.
